The Air Jordan 14 was co-designed by Tinker Hatfield and Mark Smith, taking direct inspiration from Michael Jordan’s favorite supercar — the Ferrari 550M Maranello.

Upper Construction & Aesthetic Details:

• The upper features a single-layer premium leather for a sleek, race-inspired silhouette.

• Shark-tooth foam panels near the toe mimic the car’s side air vents, enhancing structure and visual aggression.

• Asymmetrical collar design improves fit and comfort, wrapping snugly around the ankle.

• The shield-shaped Jumpman logo evokes the Ferrari badge, a subtle nod to the model’s muse.

• Retains the speed lacing system from previous generations for rapid lockdown.

Heel & Midsole Engineering:

• The rear spoiler-like heel tab rises upward, flanked by foam extensions — all designed to resemble the rear end of a supercar.

• The painted midsole shank in a metallic finish represents the car’s engine hood, extending up the sides for structural support.

• Side ventilation holes replicate heat-release vents from high-performance engines.
